Natural Stone Specialist
"Don't Make A Multi-Thousand Dollar Mistake On Stone!"
This job will go down as one of my greatest accomplishments. This bathroom cost right at $100,000.00 to renovate. The stone is honey onyx from Argentina. There was 32 slabs used all together just in this one bathroom. This material is so fragile that it has to have a fiberglass coat on the back to hold it together. The biggest panels are 55'' x 88''. All to be carried up four flights of stairs. What makes this job so successful is the combination of client, friends and co-workers. The owners were Ed and Vivian. I spent almost seven months at their house. They are great people to work for. There was the stone supplier, ''Nick'' (Tarpon Marble) , who I have been friends with since the day we met in the early '90's. We have had a great relationship over the years. Last, but not least, the fabricator ''Jerry'' (Grand Marble). Not one cut could be wrong, Not one piece could break. This job is so impressive that a photographer was taking pictures for the foe painter. He told the owner that he was a photographer for House Trends and the publisher would ''love this place''. And he did! They ended up publishing 13 pages all together ( 99-112 House Trends Spring 2006).
